If you like Pinacoladas...

I have an interview tomorrow!

So today I spent 2-3 hours on buses trying to figure out where it is!

It's at Aztec West which is a huge business park out by Cribbs Causeway, which feels kind of out of Bristol if you ask me, lol.
I took the bus out there from town which took about an hour, after my jobcentre meeting this morning, and then it was another 10-15 minute walk through the business park to get to the building.
It's a nice looking building actually, but I didn't get too close in case people wondered who that weirdo outside was, lol! It looks a nice place to work, it's just a shame it's so far out from where I live! Honestly it would take less time to get there from my boyfriends place than mine, and he's technically in a different country let alone city!! It's ridiculous!
But there is a free bus from town for staff apparently, so that would cut travelling time down I guess...

The job is pretty much being in charge of the car park there, which isn't very Admin-like, but it's better than nothing. The wages are about average for full-time, but I'd be working 9-2, so part-time hours. And someone's put a good word in for me :)

Anyway. Let's hope it goes well! If not, I have another interview on Friday! Eek!

Better try and sleep. Though I just heard something bash twice against my window...mega-moth's come to kill me!

30 Day Challenge 1 * Day 6 *

30 Day Challenge 1
Day 6
Your favourite season, and why?

Autumn, most definitely! <3
I adore the colours in Autumn. There's the leaves that turn all sorts of amazing colours and shades. There's the mists and fogs in the mornings, the wind, the smells, the sights...just lovely!

I love the conkers in Autumn too. I really do, I've always liked to go conker collecting but I haven't done that for years! They're also meant to ward off spiders. Not sure if it works, but I like the idea lol.

Also, one of the other fabulous things about Autumn is HALLOWEEN! :D It's so much fun! So many themed foods and outfits and everything! All the decorations and fun little bits and bobs, gah! I love it! I've always loved carved pumpkins, and I love skulls too, so it fits perfectly. I've never been to any fancy dress parties in my teen/adult life, but I'd love to...one day! When I have kids they are going to live for Halloween lol! <3

Another thing about the Autumn that I like is the Day of the Dead. I know it's a Mexican tradition, and religious at that...but I think it's such a nice idea! It's kind of like All Soul's Day, but with much more fun thrown into the mix! I mean, celebrating your loved ones that have died is a lovely idea, but to do it in such a fun, colourful, arts & crafts, social way is pretty beautiful to me! <3

Magic Molars

Well, I've been a busy girl!

Went to the zoo yesterday with my man, and I'll probably put the photos up soon so bear with me :D
I've also done a few of the 30 Day Make Up Challenges, though I won't put them up out of order so I'll have to get a spare morning to do the creative one first!
I sent in my last entry for the People's Pokémon dolling Pageant and I need to get on with my commissions.

AND I have two interviews next week! So fingers crossed for them! I also have a JobCentre meeting. Then the next week April is coming back to Bristol and we're going to see Amanda Palmer! Then the Thursday me and Kev are going to see the Cornetto Trilogy! First up is Shaun of the Dead, then Hot Fuzz, and then the first showing at Midnight of The World's End! :D Cannot WAIT! <3
Then if all goes well I may have a job!

So we'll see how the week goes...busy bee!

30 Day Challenge 1 * Day 5 *

30 Day Challenge 1
Day 5
Tell us your three favourite colours.

Where to start! Ok, lets do this...

Red is kind of my 'signature' colour. I've loved it for years and I don't think I was really seen in anything other than red and black for most of my early teens (other than the pink trousers!). I suppose I see red as 'blood'...y'know how in art lessons you were always taught that red is anger or red is love, I understand that, but I always hated those kind of lessons, like we were dumb. And with my love of bloody art it's always attracted me.
Red is such a strong colour; It's impressive and sexy and eye-catching and smooth and I just love it.

I've loved green for as long as I can remember. I was rather obsessed with fluorescent green when I was about 7-9, but I love all greens and I love nature so it fits well. I love it when I'm travelling on a train just to watch the greens fly past me in a blur. There are so many different greens out there and they're all lovely in their own right! I do love lime most...or like a chartreuse-y kind of green, but all are pretty.

I'm not sure when my white obsession came into play, but I do love it! I tend to buy gadgets in white when possible (even buying a Kobo rather than a Kindle so that I could get a white one), and I really like white tops. I think I love white and black together most, they're a nice mix and the monochrome look always impresses me. Other than 60s style 'cause that's a bit cheesey to me lol. Maybe it's the 'cleanliness' about it that I love...or just the stark difference to most black things these days.

Realism to the extreme!

Wow, I just stumbled on this artist's deviantART account, and then found they do speed videos on YouTube. Oh my god!

His name is Marcello Barenghi and he's from Italy.
You can find him here; marcellobarenghi @ deviantart and marcellobarenghi @ YouTube

This was the first image I found, and then watched the video;

Then I found this one's video and WOW...how does he do that?!!

And here are a few others that blew me away.

It makes me feel bad for ignoring my pencils for so long, but I was never good enough at colour theory to do something like this...it's stunning! Maybe one day when I'm sick of digital art enough to lock myself away and 'draw'...*sigh* lol <3

Nerd Do Well

Just a  quick little update.

I've gotta do a bit of tidying around today and sort a few bits and bobs out.

I won't be able to do the next Make Up Challenge for a while 'cause it's 'the most creative thing you can do with make up'...and I'll be too busy to sit down and do what I'm planning for quite a while yet! Maybe next weekend? That would be fun :)

I'm hoping me and Kev can get out n about up to the Zoo this week! That will be amazing. And then the Gromit statues have gone up around Bristol today, so I need to plan with Gill to go and see them all! :D Or almost all of them...there's one in London I think...anywho. Fun times!

In other thoughts...I need a job lol.

30 Day Challenge 1 * Day 4 *

30 Day Challenge 1
Day 4
Write about your closest friends

Me, April and Noah. I think this is the most recent pic of us from last year.

Not sure what to write really! It's hard to get across what people mean to you etc...

Me and Noah have been friends since Nursery, so probably over 20 years now! (Now that's terrifying...but awesome!) we spent most of our childhood playing in the garden and drawing, when we got a little older we would watch anime's like Pokemon, Dragonball and Sailor Moon, and listen to soundtracks, the radio, Noah's cheesy 80s rock...lmao <3 All whilst drawing of course! That's probably the best thing we did growing up 'cause we progressed so much...people moan saying they want to learn to draw or just 'decide to do art'...but it's got to be your life, it's practice practice practice without thinking too much about it, it's enjoying every moment of it...but I digress.
We got into...I dunno what you would call it...the 'alternative scene?' when we were 11/12, and I guess that kept us close 'cause everyone kind of disowned us after that...but who cares lol.
Then when we were 14 or 15 we met April! She hit it off with Noah straight away and it might have taken a few months to progress and a few major ups and downs but they've been together ever since! Which is lovely :)
I don't think April liked me much, in fact I felt there was some kind of death wish on me while we were at school lmao! But once we'd got into college and all grew up a little we managed to become friends! I think it was probably the fact that we were so alike that caused the rifts in the first place, or hormones or whatever...I mean similar in interests I suppose...I don't know what it was, but I'm glad it worked itself out 'cause they're like family to me and I wouldn't want to lose them! Even though they moved to a different country lmao!
But we always have a laugh and I love that. I can't imagine most people would get our sense of humour from the outside, but the three of us can sit crying with laughter on a regular basis over the most stupid things, and that's the best :)
