Early Easter in Swansea!

Geez, I have loads to put up on here don't I!
So let's begin with our trip down to Swansea :) We went down to pre-celebrate Easter and my birthday!

I made some chocolate chip and fudge cookies (which were lovely but I forgot to take any photos of) and some fudge cupcakes! The plan was a lot more elaborate, but I chickened out and just added green icing and wafer daisies...but they're still kind of cute :) Got mangled on the way there though! I really need a good cupcake carrier!

Me and Kev got to April and Noah's around midday I think, and we had a chat, a munch and a cup of tea before I opened my prezzies! :D Unfortunately I didn't take any photos and everything is spread around so I can't take pics just yet, but I had some awesome prezzies and I luffs them <3

Afterwards we had a walk down to the beach (which took aaaaages, but was nice!) and took a leisurely stroll along the beach towards the other end :)
We found a few dead crabs along the way for April and Noah's collection which was a bonus. It's actually a really nice beach, I wasn't sure what it would be like only vaguely seeing it from bus windows, but it's really long and nice quality and the dogs were loving it!

Group photo! :) There was also exercise equipment dotted along the beach walk which were pretty fun! I'm sure they're there for a proper work-out, but a few minutes farting about on them was good lol. It's a nice idea actually :)

After our bus journey back we stopped off and bought fish and chips which was delicious, and then spent the evening in usual Fatboy fashion eating laughing and watching movies and documentaries!

The following day we headed into Swansea to go to the book swap! :) I took a few books down, and came home with looooads lol. Something I need to stop doing but I can't help it! XD I did manage to find one book that I really wanted to read too, so that's a bonus! The rest were just lovely additions lol.
We had a scrummy McDonalds and then me and Kev headed back home.
Had a lovely weekend with the Fatboys, will be good to see them more often if all goes to plan! :)

I saw the words that you wrote down

I haven't written here in quite a while have I?!

Not a whole lot has gone on since I last wrote, though I did go to see Dirty Dancing on stage again with Tracey :)

I've come to a halt on that drawing of Toby and Amy, I can't decide whether to go for it or not...it's so tricky! I did try some fast shading on an old WoW sketch yesterday, and sadly it looked pretty good, which shows how much time I always waste lol. But it would probably frustrate me.
I also tried adding some colour to the edges to seem like weird lighting...didn't necessarily look great but worth a try...I really should buy some digital art technique books or something.

I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with my art.

I've ordered some special FX make-up stuff for my birthday (from Mother Dearest!) so that should be interesting! Someone please remind me though, that if it doesn't go right first time, I'm not a failure, right? Fed up feeling useless at everything lol.

It's my baking that's killing my enthusiasm at the moment...I can't bake cakes for shit lol.
Tried to bake one on a whim for Mothers Day and it all went tits up! I thought the mix was for BOTH pieces for the sandwich sponge but it must have been for one 'cause they were less than a centimetre thick, so ridiculous and tough...I thought I'd try again but smaller but the spring-form tin burst and the whole cake baked itself on the bottom of the oven...THEN I thought 'fuck it, let's try and make the sandwich one anyway'...didn't have enough jam so it was pitiful, then when I tried it, I realised I'd used caster sugar instead of icing sugar in my butter cream! It was like licking sweet sandpaper! >_< Awful.

So I give up for now. ONE DAY I'll get it right.

We're going down to Swansea to see le Fatboys this weekend for Easter and my Birthday celebrations, so I've made some chocolate and fudge cookies, and I'm making some cupcakes this evening...everything is fine so far but y'know...

We'll see what happens.

I wasn't feeling useless before writing this but jeez lmao!

I think I'm being put off by the new The Used album. I'm trying my best to fall in love with it...but no. I'm not a 17 year old American that hates authority, and that seems to be the demographic for this one! Sadness.

Anyway...

Somehow I stumbled onto this site the other day and read this whole thing on Jeffrey Dahmer, I really need to look more into serial killers and nutters...I mean it fascinates me! That BBC Three programme about the death row cases in Texas was really good. The first episode they actually spoke to the guys, and I love how most men that have been in prison for a while have such honest looking eyes. Like they just have nothing left to lie about. It's just fascinating. Everything about it! If I would have been an academic type my one passion would have been doing Psychology. Truthfully, it still bugs me now lol <3

Just rambling about shit now aren't I...catch you after the trip to Swansea! :)

Limp Bizkit and Valentines!

So I've had a really good week so far!

Last Monday was 3 weeks on my diet, and I've already lost 8 1/2lbs! That's crazyness! I don't think it's showing yet, but it's still awesome, and I'll keep going, would be nice to drop at least two dress sizes!
Though, as you will see from the rest of this post, this week has gone speeding downhill, so tonight's weigh in won't go so well.
(I wrote this in work, so I'll add my poundage at the end when I've done it lol!)

Wednesday me and Kev went to see Limp Bizkit on the Kerrang! Tour 2014!! He met me from work - when I got out late at 5 - and then we popped in Subway 'cause I had vouchers and had a yummy footlong meal for cheaps! :) And Kev found a heart shaped crisp, so awwww, lol;

Then we headed round to the O2 Academy and got in line (which wasn't even that long!) and was then told by security that because Kev had an O2 phone, we could go into the other queue and get in earlier than the other! Bargain! :D
So we waited in that queue for a little while, and then we headed in!

I was absolutely gobsmacked to walk in there, and there were hardly any people at the front barrier! So we were RIGHT AT THE FRONT! Like when does that even happen?! Last time I was at the front was probably Less Than Jake at least 7 years ago and even then I almost passed out and had to get pulled over lmao.
So yeah, I tried to take a pic of us on the front row, but it just turned out really creepy and just us with no barrier...so meh, scary lol.

Anywho! The first band on were Baby Godzilla, who were just noise. They weren't exciting, and they kept flailing and screaming at the barriers and me and Kev got smacked on the head by a microphone stand and almost by a guitar plenty of times! Needless to say I did not take photos of them! :P

Then After them were Nekrogoblikon, which I thought were gunna be like some Mortiis/Dimmu Borgir outfit, but they were actually really fun! This guy came out with brilliant goblin prosthetics on (except for the hands lol) and announced them, and he stayed on stage dancing about to them for the whole set, it was amazing haha. Also they had mad songs, one of them was called Giraffe and the chorus was 'Suddenly a Giraffe! Giraffe!' lmao.
I couldn't get great photos of them (or the whole night really) on my phone, and I hadn't bothered bringing my camera (thinking we'd be beaten up at the back lol) but here are a couple;

Then the next band was Crossfaith. Never heard of them before but they were Japanese and had the awesome look to match! (Seriously do they do translated clothes sites there? lol) They were really fun live, not sure they match up when I've looked them up on youtube after, but still, it was enjoyable! They were screamy and electronicy and Kev was well chuffed when they did a Prodigy cover!
when they finished I managed to catch a drumstick that the drummer threw too! :D
I tried to get pics of them, the other guitarist is missing though...he wore all black and had reddish orange hair lol.

Then after them all the sheets came off the drumkit and speakers and it was time for Limp Bizkit :D Oh my lord it was so exciting! We were pretty close to where Wes was, and he's amazing lol. They came out and started with a cover of Welcome to the Jungle and it went crazy lol. The whole show I was squashed against the barrier and Kev was glued to my back with his hands on the rail. My knees are really tender and bruised still from having them bashed against the barrier non-stop. I thought my ribs were going to pop my lungs at one point, but it was good fun and nothing bad happened! They're more of a bouncy band too so the pushing wasn't drastic where we were either! Yay!
They also did their amazing cover of Faith by George Michael which I looooove, and was so happy they played!
I took about 100 pics but these are the only salvageable ones that came out decent! This is why we must take hundreds! So yeah;

Also, I have to mention how amazing Wes looked lol. I've tried to crop a pic so you can see his amazingly creepy eyes. They were all pink around the edges with huge vivid blue contacts omg. Ooh and he took off his Lei's from round his neck and I caught one! Woohoo! :D <3

Here's a photo of my loot hehe.

Kev was meant to be getting the last train home but we didn't get out til it was actually due, so he had to stay at mine. What a shame haha :)

So Thursday was alright at work, and then I got home to this amazing package lmao! Honestly I opened it and was laughing my head off lol, I even sent the photo to Kev haha, brilliant :D I need to find fun things to send back to my Fatboys! It was their 10yr Anniversary that day too :) Which is just lush isn't it <3 Feels like we should have been tiddlers 10 years ago...how old we're getting!!

Thursday night I also made a heartshaped cheesecake for Kev! The recipe I had was for loads so I ended up making the shaped one and a normal one. Unfortunately the heartshaped one cracked when it cooled to fast, but the other came out fine!

THEN! Friday was Valentines Day! :D

Kev met me from work again and we walked (or flew with the weather!) down to the Harbourside and popped in Lloyds for a drink before our 6pm table booked in Za Za Bazaar!

Oh my god, it's amazing in there. I already have a Fatboy trip planned for when they're back here lol! <3 It's like a giant marketplace! And I mean giant, I really didn't think it would be so big! There are like 6 or 7 'stalls' with loads of different foods on them! There was one for curries, one for chinese, they had salads, sushi, burgers and hotdogs that you could make up yourself, fish and chips, pizza, breads...gah, you name it, it was there! It was amazing! And then they had a whole stall of desserts too :D and a chocolate fountain! Lush!
It was pretty expensive on the evening, but I think it's much cheaper during the day.

It was yummy, and we had a nice time just wandering round grabbing food and sitting chatting at our table for our allotted 1:45hrs lol. I took a photo of our desserts but I wish I had taken photos of the whole place! We were in a little wooden section with fairy lights above us, but there was one bit with a huge Day of the Dead type skull on the wall too! Nice!

So yeah. Anyway we left there and headed home :) We swapped V-Day cards and settled down in front of the TV to watch telly (though I can't remember what we watched! :\ must have been something!)

Oh yeah, doesn't the card I got Kev look just like us? Hehe;

Then a bit later we ate our heart shaped cheesecake which was LUSH! :D It made me extremely happy as I still haven't got over my sponge cake blunder lol.

Then Saturday we got up late and I made bacon and fried egg on toast, the fried eggs being heart shaped! I saw a egg-shaped frying pan in Tesco and thought it would be a wonderful idea - wrong! It was awful for eggs, I might try pancakes in there, but the eggs were really hard to cook and the edges of the pan were on fire lol! But it was all tasty :)

We ate more cheesecake and also pigged out on all the graze box left-overs and the Reese's peanutbutter cups that I'd bought for Kev.

We watched Dark Skies which Kev hadn't seen, and I enjoyed more the second time around, and then we watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad and finished the first season! :D I love it, can't wait to watch more! Also we watched the Game of Thrones 15min teaser, which is getting us excited for April!!

Anyway, Kev had work Sunday morning (even though the job was cancelled in the morning!) so he had to leave Saturday night, so we took a nice slow stroll up to Broomhill and headed to Templemeads. Then we parted ways again! Boo!

But it was a really nice few days, and I loved it :)

Also started playing 'Flow' on my phone...addicted. I can't stop! Lol.

Anywho. Not much else to add.

As for this evening's weigh in...I put on 0.2 of an lb this week. Which considering the amount I have eaten this week is pretty AMAZING. So yay for me! ^_^

Weigh-hey!

I doubt I'll post about this too much because I'm not that great at finishing what I start...BUT!

I started dieting last week - using old Weight Watchers points - and today is 1 week and I've lost 4lbs! Just from adjusting eating! I thought it was 6lb but then I thought I should weigh after tea 'cause that's what I did last week...so I must have eaten 2lb of food lmao.
Anyway. It would be nice to keep it up. I don't really like writing about things like this 'cause then I feel like I let everyone else down as well as myself if I don't do it! But I'm going to try :)
I'd like to live past 50 lol.

Holiday!

So I collected up my vouchers for the Sun Holiday, and me and Kev went through some places last night and put in our selections and dates.
I thought we'd get put into some selection bucket and would hear about it in a few weeks, but no! We got our first choice right then and there! :D <3
So we're off to Perranporth for my birthday! Can't wait! <3

Definitely gunna keep the vouchers for if we're gunna try for a Fatboy holiday, 'cause there are some places on the Isle of Wight and the one we're staying in lets pets stay! So some must not worry! We're in a Haven park so maybe it will be best to keep an eye on those :)

And I'll definitely be collecting them next year 'cause it's so worth it!

Good Times!

So Friday was Kev's birthday! :D
I bought him a Monty Python t-shirt, a Sonic the Hedgehog bag and tickets for us to go see Derren Brown in a couple of months :)
I also completed the cake!! Disaster!
Well...50% disaster. The Icing (after getting a whole in it and having to dash to Tesco and buy more) was a success after how worried I was! But alas, although it looked good in the end, the cake was AWFUL.
Honestly it had the texture of a rubber bouncy ball. It was so bad!
We laughed about it obviously, but it was actually quite depressing lol! My common sense when it comes to self-raising flour obviously decided to stay switched off that day.
Anyway, have a butchers :)

Shame I didn't take any pics more from the side so you could see all the relief and stuff.
The jam kept the icing nice so that was fun to pick off and munch lol.
Such a shame!

Anywho! That was Friday night. I can't remember what we actually did, I remember watching some TV, and we had a fat Spag Bol with garlic bread. It was nice :)

Then Saturday we chilled out in the morning and had a nice cheese and bacon toastie for breakfast (delish!) and Kev helped Kelvin with getting the washing machines (new and old!) in and out of the house!
Then we headed into town, bought some munch and then got on another bus and went out to Hengrove to find the Cineworld! (Kev's sisters got me and him Cineworld vouchers for Christmas.)

We'd decided to watch Hunger Games: Catching Fire because 1, it was on at a perfect time, 2, we really wanted to see it, and 3, it was actually still out at the cinema after coming out in November!
It was really good, stuck really close to the book from what I can remember and ended nicely in such a way that you can't wait to see what happens next :D Hope it's not too long til Mockingjay Pt 1!
We could have seen Devil's Due but I think that's one to save and watch with Noah and April, along with the new Paranormal Activity one!

I would also like to point out that I actually wore a SKIRT out!! I've been trying to find an excuse to wear it for over a year, and I finally did it! Didn't feel as self concious as I thought I would, and I felt so much more girly haha. The only thing I will say - being a fatty and not dainty - is that it actually hurt to keep my legs closed for that long lmao! Felt like I had to keep my knees glued together! But it was worth it :) I won't think twice about wearing it more often now!

Anyway after the movie we went to KFC over the road (mmmm) which was delicious. We were gunna go to Frankie and Benny's, but we realised we really couldn't afford it, so we'd save that for payday :)

So the birthday celebrations were really nice :) <3 Kev had to leave that night because of work early the next day, but at least we got to see eachother.

And todayyyyyy is our 1 year Anniversary! :D Amazing!
I really can't believe it <3 In a way it's flown by and it doesn't seem that long, and in other ways it feels like I've always known him and 1 year is the equivalent of a month or something.
It's so nice that we both feel the same way and are both so excited for what the future will hold, his status that he put on Facebook made me grin ear to ear and well up a bit haha <3
It's a shame we couldn't spend it together, but it would be too expensive for Kev to come here for a couple of hours, and we get to see eachother Saturday so it's fine. :)

The week after I will have been paid so maybe we can go out for a meal for the belated anniversary :)

I also have two new baby albino snails on the way! Unfortunately - buying them through the post was not what I wanted to do, but I didn't really know what else to try - the posties wouldn't put them through the door today, so they're spending the night in the dingy post warehouse place. Makes me sad! I hope they've just hidden away and buried themselves and fingers crossed they will let me take them home tomorrow! Wednesday is the only week day the pick up point is open late!
I really hope they are there. I want my babies to come home! I've decided to call them Luke and Leia, and I hope to make them really happy and healthy and right all the wrongs I did with Tic-Tac. He wasn't mistreated by any means, but it seems like I didn't really feed him a variety of foods, and I didn't realise that older snails need help eating, so it makes me feel so bad for him.
But he had a good life :) <3

So all in all, the last few days have been awesome! <3

2013 and 2014

So I've seen a few reflection posts and thought I should have a little gander back at the last year!

2013 started off well!

I had just been made redundant from my job that I loved, but I was optimistic for the new year and not perturbed by the lack of job or money!
I spent New Years at Ben's place up in Denbigh and went to a house party at his friend Dan's house, who has a lovely girlfriend Rachael aswell! They are now my friends on Facebook and it's nice to see they got engaged on their anniversary this year! <3

The 2nd of January I travelled from Denbigh down to Birmingham for our Fatboy tattoo day! Me Noah and April went to Caesar at Body Garden Tattoo to get a tattoo each and it was really nice being the only people in there the whole day. I felt totally out of it from all the travelling but it was a good experience! The tattoo was agony on the inside of my arm and it was badly bruised for a week or two afterwards which kept it extremely tender, but I'm so in love with it I couldn't care less! :)

I also started talking to Kevyn  just before Christmas 2012, and I can remember sending him a photo of the fresh tattoo from the hotel. We met up for the first time on the 21st January - which has now become our anniversary! - and we just clicked instantly. I'm so happy we met and I can't imagine how this year would have gone without him in my life <3 I've seen him pretty much every single week since we met and I don't think either of us find the time together quite long enough!

We both love going places when possible and finding geeky things to get into, so it's lovely to finally have that in somebody. :)
It's so amazing and eye-opening to fall in love with someone that falls in love with you back, I could never have even imagined feeling this way before, finding someone that can be a best friend and a boyfriend and just a great companion. That's enough of the sickly speak, and he knows it all already, but I can't wait to have our own little family life and everything exciting like that!

As well in 2013 - after many failed interviews and awful 'help' from the Job Centre - I managed to get a job! I started at the beginning of October - so coming up to 3 months there now - and I work as a receptionist and clinic prep assistant for the Sleep Unit at the central Hospital. I couldn't have believed I would enjoy working so closely with the public, but I really love it, getting to chat to interesting characters every now and again and helping people. There's always going to be grumpy so-and-so's, but that doesn't bother me so much.
They haven't had a permanent member of staff for atleast a year, and already people have left and I seem to be the senior staff member doing what I'm doing! :\ Very odd! But it's interesting work.

Towards the beginning of the year I also sold a good few Commissions, which I am so greatful for! I always find it so humbling that people would want to buy my art. Of course I would love to sell more, but any commission is welcome these days! The aforementioned Rachael also commissioned me to draw her and Dan as an anniversary present, which was such an honour! <3

I can't think of many other exciting things that have happened this year. Every gig and event that I or we have been to have been brilliant, and I can't wait for more! We went to our first Comic-Con in August and that was fantastic. I was really skint, so I didn't have much to spend, but they are holding another in March and I am hoping to go and spend more money!

Now for 2014.

I am really looking forward to this coming year.

Not only will it hold many adventures for me and my man, but hopefully it will bring us even closer together, as only a budding relationship can! Can't wait <3 Also more Fatboy adventures too!

I also intend to get back into reading more. This year has been so disorganised that I really need to get back in to a routine, and reading is one of the important routines! I want to give myself a target on Goodreads for 2014, but I think I will aim rather low, around 20, because if I put the average 50 that everyone puts, that means one book per week, which when you read thick novels and only get an hour or so to read each day that's nearly impossible! So I will start low, and hopefully kick that targets ass!

I would also like to create more art this year. Commissions would be more than amazing - and I need to promote myself more this year definitely - but I really do need to create more art for myself. I'm fed up of all my favourite pieces of art being fan-art for contests, or characters that aren't mine. I need to fulfil my potential and draw what I want to draw for me.

I'm also hoping I can get another tattoo or more this year. I'm really wanting more ink in my skin! So many little ideas to bring to fruition. :)

I'm not sure what else I would wish from 2014. I think continued happiness is more than enough, and I wish you all the same! :)

Christmas 2013!

So Christmas is nearly behind us.
I've had a really nice festive period this year, so much more enjoyable than the last couple of years I think - especially last year!

I mentioned briefly that I met up with April and Noah to swap prezzies last Friday, and then me and Kev had our own Christmas Day on the Saturday. Then Sunday I went to the Harry Potter Tour for the third time, and then worked Monday and Tuesday! Met Tracey for a quick hot chocolate and to swap prezzies after work on the Tues, and then yesterday was Christmas Day!

I've had loads of amazing presents this year, I feel like such a lucky girl! :)

I didn't take too many photos over the few days, but here's some that I did take!

The chocolate Log I made for my mum today (with a Tesco mix of course lol). The icing sugar went terribly wrong but it looks alright for my first attempt! Next year will be better!
LOL me and Kev in our onesies...how awful do we look XD And I had to answer the door twice!
 Mmmm, pigs in blankets <3
Full Moon, Half Moon, Total Eclipse!
Mine and Kev's Christmas dinner :)
Mine and Kev's Christmas dinner :)

Not many photos I know, but still! It was really enjoyable :)

Here are the photos of my presents too! I realise now I missed quite a few out, but I'll try and point them out where I can! Silly me :C
Here's the gorgeous hoard of books that I got from Kev, Mum, April and Noah :)
Can you tell which character I fell for this year? Prezzies from my Mum and Kev :)
Posh Harry Potter tickets and a quill from Tracey!
The gorgeous mask that me and mum got at the German Market after I fell for it <3 With a book lol.
Finally! Pokemon! Prezzies from Mum and Kev, and I bought the game guide in advance :3
Bits and bobs from my mum and a necklace from Gill! Thinking now I could have done a larger photo with lots of other things that I've stupidly missed! Such as the Cyndaquil plush and gorgeous wooden Night's Watch badge that my fatboys got me! As well as a couple notebooks and 2014 diary, chocolates etc...nevermind.

And I got these yummy Cupcake and Cheesecake books from April and Noah! :D Can't wait to try out some of the recipes, it all looks so tasty! I really hope to do more baking this year...as well as fitting in a diet *cough* lol...
Also they got me a Sugar Skull Mould!! :D Eek! Always wanted one but never got around to it <3 Can't wait! Might make some chocolate ones first, that might be easier lol.
I also had a Cursed Cookie cutter that looks like a voodoo gingerbread man, but I got it from my Auntie after I'd taken these photos. That should be fun too! :)

So all in all, this year's Christmas has been amazing! Love everything I got! <3
Hope you all had an awesome year too and I'm hoping 2014 is even better than 2013 has turned out to be! :) <3

Quick Christmas Update!

Christmas is upon us!

I've deleted my Holidailies posts because frankly the questions were boring the hell out of me and I couldn't be bothered any more! So yeah.
I'm sure I'll do a 2013 meme thing anyway :)

So Christmas Day is tomorrow!
Friday me and Kev met up with April and Noah at April's parents, and we swapped prezzies which was lovely! I got some yummy cupcake and cheesecake recipe books, so I definitely need to have a go at them before long! And a Sugar Skull mould! *squeals* Wanted one of them for aaaaages!
Got other luffly stuff too but I will take some photos and do a proper post after Christmas is done :)

Me and Kev had our Christmas on Saturday and so more prezzies were swapped! :D Fun! I had lots of books - including the gorgeous Labyrinth Goblins book that I've wanted forever! - and goodies and again I'll take some photos soon enough :D Also got Pokemon X, so once I get my 3DS tomorrow feel free to send me your friend codes! ^_^

I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour again on the Sunday with Gill, Terasa and Kevin(2!), while they're doing the 'Hogwarts in the Snow' and that was lovely!

Worked Monday and today, met Tracey for a Hot Chocolate and to swap prezzies, and now I've just finished wrapping the rest of my Mum's prezzies :D

So yeah...I'll do a bigger Christmas entry soon, for now, I'm going to pig out and chill out and enjoy Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I know!

What a couple of weeks, where to start!

I started my new job, and I think I'm getting on ok with it. The job is quite nice really, covering the reception and prepping the notes for the clinics. The reception is cool in the sense that you're talking with the public, and most people seem nice! Sat with the radio on in the waiting room checking people's details and booking them into the clinic. The prepping is ok too, just enough of the repetitive stuff that I like, and wandering around the hospital to get notes now and then etc. It's nice...it's just a shame the management is useless.
I have 2 managers, I have been there 3 weeks, seen 1 of them about 4 times and 1 of them once. And each of those encounters bar the first one was about 5mins long? It's awful. There's noone around ever! It's really laid back, which you'd think is nice, but I need structure. I've had a killer bad back for over a month now and even went to the doctors about it (which seeing as I've been to the doctors about twice since I was 16/17 is a big deal) and because I started a new job I didn't want any time off sick of course, but I have only just managed to get a sick number off of them! It's ridiculous! Lucky I wasn't really ill!
They're really awful and have no idea what is going on in our department. They took over the same week I started apparently, and you would have thought that if you're taking over a department you would be there to take it all in! But no! Also there are 3 people that can cover reception at the moment, 1 only works Thursdays and Fridays,  1 just got a new job so is waiting to leave, and 1 is going traveling in December and leaving! So I have to be up to scratch as soon as possible! And definitely by Christmas as I have been told that I will be the only person in over the Christmas period because everyone else has booked it off! I questioned it saying surely there should be some kind of protocol so that not everyone can ask for it off, and she was just like 'you'd think so'...!!!
They're pathetic. But other than that stressful thought, I'm enjoying it!

But anyway...spent two lovely weekends with Kev, but they go so horribly fast, I hate it! :C
Weekend before last we made a cake which was gorgeous! Unfortunately I did buy a Betty Crocker cake mix because I wanted a quick cake fix, but we still had to add a ton of stuff, make the butter cream and add the jam, so it hardly quickened it up! Here are a few photos of it :) yum!

Also Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace was on TV, so we watched that before we made a Spaghetti Bolognese! So happy we got to watch it, though I hate Jar Jar Binks!! As a kid when that film came out I saw it twice at the cinema (though I'm not sure why!) and he was pretty entertaining! I guess he was for most kids at that time, but now? Oh my god. He's just so irritating! The voice and accent and oafishness! Gah! Really irritated me, but I still enjoyed the film. Though with adverts it felt ridiculously long.

Also had a scare with Tic-Tac this weekend, I woke up one morning and his head was out of the tank, like he was investigating - which is fine and usual for his personality! - and then when I got home from work he'd had a mantle collapse! :C I only realise this after searching online for hours trying to see what was wrong with him. He was hanging on one glass wall with his body pretty much all out of his shell, it was horrible! I saw it was pretty much fatal but they can live for a few weeks, so I need to see what is going to happen...but it's scary :( It said it can burst their lung most times and that they suffocate to death. So that night there were bubbles along the edge of the shell and we thought he must be dying quickly. He pretty much sank in on himself and we thought he'd probably be dead by morning. If he wasn't I was gunna try and call a vet to see if there was a way to put him down humanely 'cause we really couldn't face putting him in the freezer or anything.
Anyway in the morning he had sunk off of the wall and I couldn't tell if he was alive or dead so I wanted to leave it til I got home. So I got home from work, and he was still in the same spot. I said something like 'what we gunna do with you aye?' and when I came back downstairs from getting changed he was climbing up the glass!! He still seems to be a little out of his shell, but he's finally come down from the sides and is resting on the floor of his tank. I was so scared I'd have to pick him off and keep him in a container or something, but he seems to be ok. Still won't eat. He's eaten a leaf of lettuce and maybe one chunk of cucumber since he woke up in July so no wonder his muscles are weak. He just won't eat! He is about 4 or 5 now so he is quite old...but I don't want him to go so soon <3

So this weekend I went and bought cinema tickets for next week of a remastered Rocky Horror Picture Show! Can't wait <3 Gunna go straight from work on Friday so I won't be all dressed up, and we're not sure if that's what will be happening, but it'll be fun!
Friday night we made pizzas with the little pizza bases I bought from Tesco, and that was fun! I completely forgot to take a photo of them once they were cooked (though I'm sure Kev is fed up of me stopping him from eating so I can take photos of everything lmao!) but I got this awful one of them beforehand.

Then this morning we woke up and I really wanted to have pancakes! So I thought sod it, let's make some! The recipe in the book we have are for American ones, so there was a lot of extra ingredients, but they came out amazing! So thick and fluffy and lovely! We decided to have them with bacon and syrup seeing as they were American, and that was lush <3 Though they took ages to eat! I have no idea how people have this for breakfast before work! Too stodgy! Though it keeps you full, so maybe it's a good idea actually...
Here's some photos :)

Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones was on this afternoon too so we watched that one too! Again I enjoyed it...but I hated Anakin. Like really hated him. I didn't give a shit about him. The way he treated Padmé felt more like sexual harrassment than anything else to me. And not in a feminist way, just ugh, he was vile. I felt nothing for him. Even when he found his mother. I was happy that R2D2 and C3PO were back together, and that brought some light entertainment, but this second set of films are really lacking what made the first set so exciting. It's a real shame. But I'm still enjoying them and I'll be recording Episode 3 next weekend to watch at a later date! :) Still absolutely adoring R2D2! <3

And before Kev went home we went to FlavourZ for some tea! Which was yum! Though we were pretty stuffed from the pancakes still lol, so didn't take stupid advantage of the all you can eat, but it was still yummy :) Not quite as lovely as Peachy Keens in Newport though! But Kev likes them both equally now I think :3 Ah well!

Next weekend should be nice going to visit my fatboys for Halloween! Will spend Saturday morning baking treats! <3
